Take this (at least optically) restored 1967 Fiat 124 1984 Lada 21013 as an example. I’m tempted, very tempted. And quite serious. Máté would be proud.

It’s at €1k at the moment. And still located in Hungary (road trip!), although the seller offers shipping.

A fine looking little thing, looks like a lot of fun for the money! We don’t have anything near this cool for such money here.

Well, it’s Ebay and there’s still 9 days left in the auction. We’ll see. I did ask the seller how much shipping would be to my home. No response, yet.

Damn it, I should’ve asked for shipping from Munich. It’s much closer to Hungary (so cheaper) and I still prefer not to have to take a train back home when I’m there for Oktoberfest.

Damn, that must be one of the straightest Lada’s in the world!

If you could get this for just €1k, it would be quite the steal. If I remember correctly from Máté’s article good ones are getting expensive and hard to find, even in former eastern bloc countries.

Watch out if you drive it, these have an annoying tendency to veer in front of oncoming traffic, and to rear end other vehicles.

1967 Fiat 124 1984 Lada 2101

To add to you line of correctioning, that’s a Lada 21011, as indicated by the bumpers and the vent on the C-pillar and a few other bits, and as such, a 1974–1981 model. Or, if it really is a 1984, then it’s a 21013 which is basically the same thing as a 21011 but a smaller engine.

(can’t get to the link from work)

You’re right, it’s a 21013. Here’s a link to ebay:

I’ll only need to install a dashcam and a radio capable of playing horrible music. And someone to hold my beer.

I would kill for something like this, especially after Mate’s article....always loved these little FIATs/Ladas though...wonder how high the price would get, and how much shipping to Canada would be...
